Alan & Jocelyn’s story
By Hannah West
Working in care gives you the opportunity to make a difference to people’s lives every single day. You give people the quality of life they need to be able to live independently in their own home.
Meet Alan & Jocelyn. Alan has received care for 8 years after he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
Through the care provided by CRG Homecare, Alan is able to live as independently as possible and do the things he loves. He is a keen Everton fan and he still attends all the home games when possible.
The care that Alan receives by CRG Homecare not only helps him but it also helps his wife, Jocelyn.
She said: “Without Alan’s care workers he would have no quality of life and would be bed bound, as he isn’t mobile. The care workers are able to get him out of bed and make sure he is ready for the day. They make sure Alan has everything he needs and I can’t thank them enough.”
Alan’s regular Care Workers are Ian, Matty and Pete and both Alan and Jocelyn have built a very strong relationship up with them. Ian was the very first care worker that delivered care to Alan once he was discharged from hospital.
Jocelyn commented: “We all get on really well and we have built a trusting relationship over the years. The care they deliver now is just as good as the care they provided on Alan’s very first care visit.
“I have peace of mind that Alan is getting the best care and it is reassuring to see the same friendly faces – I know he is in safe hands. Thank you!”
