Do I need care?
If you’re reading this, there’s a chance that you have begun to think you or a loved one may need a little help. Whether you’d like someone to pop round a couple of times a week to help with chores, or more regular, we offer a range of services to help you. All our care services are tailored to you and your needs.
What type of care do I need?
We offer many different types of care, but all our care packages are tailored to help you live as independently as possible within the comfort of your own home. To find more about our different service please visit our services page.
What steps do I need to take to organise my care?
We understand that deciding what care you or your loved one needs is a big decision. So, we’ve put together some steps to explain what happens next.
Firstly, you will need to contact your local authority to help with your care. You need to ask their adult social services department to assess your needs. The assessment will help identify the care you need, as well as a good idea of cost and what funding is available to you.
Decide on the type of care you need: Once your local authority’s social services department has assessed your needs, you may receive a care and support plan (if you meet the national eligibility criteria) or you will receive information and advice on what support might be available to you.
Research funding options: We understand one of your main concerns will be with regards to the funding of your care. There are three main options when it comes to paying for care: social services-funded care, direct payment (funded by local authorities) and self-funded care.
Social services-funded care: You need to find out if you are eligible for state funding. To do this, contact your local social services department and they will carry out an assessment of your care needs. If your local authority then agrees you need care, they will assess your finances. They will determine how much care will be funded by the state, and whether you need to contribute too.
Direct Payment: If you are entitled to state funding your local authority will sometimes pay what it can fund for you directly into your bank account. This is referred to as a ‘Direct Payment’ and you can use it to pay for care yourself. This gives you more control over your care and allows you to buy care services from your preferred provider.
Funding your own care: If you can’t receive state funding you will need to self-fund your care. This gives you ultimate control over the type of care you receive and who provides it. You choose the level of care and support that you require.
How can a CRG Homecare care worker support me?

What training do your care workers receive?
All our Care Workers require a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, as part of our recruitment process. Our training programme is provided by our qualified Health and Social Care Trainers.
We are passionate about developing our employees, so we offer full support in training. All our employees have the opportunity to complete a recognised qualification through our internal training academy.
Is CRG Homecare monitored by a regulatory body?
Our service is monitored, inspected and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). CQC sets out what good and outstanding care looks like and ensure services meet their fundamental standards. To check our service ratings please visit our branch pages.
