Individuals with learning disabilities are more vulnerable to mental health problems than the general population, therefore we ensure that our Support Workers provide emotional and wellbeing support.
We also promote choice and independence. We ensure that the individuals we support are fully involved in any decisions which may affect their care. All our Support Workers receive training on The Mental Capacity Act and Dignity in Care training.
We offer personalised packages of support to help individuals with varying levels of needs. Some individuals may need help socialising or integrating within their community, whilst others may not be able to communicate verbally.
Some individuals may have a mild learning disability so may only need support with employment or managing money. Individuals with a severe or profound learning disability may need full time support including managing their medication and providing personal care.
Through our expertise and detailed support plans, we aim to work collaboratively with other health & social care professionals so the individuals we support can set their own goals.
